WHO WE ARE

NIGERIAN TEACHERS COMMUNITY

PROFILE

Nigerian Teachers is the world’s most engaged online teachers’ platform. It caters for the continuous professional development of teachers in Nigeria and beyond, and helps Nigerians abroad, educators, and education researchers from around the world follow developments in Nigeria’s education industry. Education stakeholders from diverse nationalities are members of the group. Their membership enables them to contribute to the improvement of the quality of education in Nigeria and learn from their counterparts in the country. The community is led by Dr Peter Ogudoro who is an alumnus of the University of Reading, UK where he earned his PhD in Education. He uses his international network to attract teacher-trainers from around the world for regular upskilling of the Nigerian teacher. Schools in Nigeria can get one full day of training for all their teachers for free under a collaborative arrangement that involves volunteer teacher-trainers from Finland, Sweden, UK, and USA. The opportunity is available to kindergarten, primary, and secondary schools as well as tertiary institutions in Nigeria. To get a slot, call +2349069603692. The training focuses on Environment, Sustainability, and Governance. The training aims at equipping teachers with the skills they need to help future generation of leaders internalize the principles of responsible consumption, and care for the environment, and adopt sustainable management practices. This service is provided under the auspices of Ogudoro Leadership Trainers and Management Consultants, the fiscal sponsor of Nigerian Teachers community.

Our platform provides opportunity for bright Nigerian teenagers with a minimum GPA of 75% to be groomed for undergraduate studies in America’s and Europe's top universities on scholarship. The teenagers should be interested in studying Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics related courses in those institutions, and commit to learning about and promotion of global citizenship to qualify for the grooming. Parents who want their children to benefit from the programme should call the group’s Admin (Dr Peter Ogudoro) on +2349069603692. Our in-person workshops and seminars hold at 98 Adeniyi Jones Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria. Our Career Management services are also provided there under the guidance of our leader, Dr Peter Ogudoro.

We are currently supporting Maltina Teacher of The Year Competition, a sponsored project of Nigeria's largest brewery. The Overall Winner will be crowned in October of this year. The person will go home with N6.5Million and get the opportunity to benefit from a professional development programme abroad. The employer of the winner (school) will get N20Million for infrastructure development. The sponsor is also providing 36 other awards ranging from half a million naira to N1.5Million.
